The monsoon season in Bangladesh — running from late June through September — brings the highest seasonal animal-health risk of the year. Foot rot, internal and external parasites, and feed-spoilage events all rise sharply. This is a practical, field-tested guide for small and medium herds.
Hoof health: foot rot and lameness
Standing water increases foot rot incidence. Move cattle to drained ground for at least four hours per day. Inspect hooves weekly. Routine zinc supplementation through Vita Feed Gold supports hoof keratin and recovery.
Parasite load
Internal and external parasites accelerate during the wet months. Deworm twice during the season, four weeks apart. Consult your veterinarian about the appropriate anthelmintic for your region.
Feed integrity
Mold and feed spoilage spike during the monsoon. Store concentrates in airtight containers off the ground. Discard any visibly molded feed — do not feed it through.
When to call your veterinarian
Any persistent lameness, weight loss, or appetite suppression lasting more than three days warrants veterinary review. Your authorized Agro Care dealer can connect you to a vet in your district.
