Agro Care Agro Care

What we hold, on the record.

Two licences in our own name. Three standards we insist on from the partners we import from. Every claim verifiable; every certificate on file.

Tier 1 · What Agro Care holds

Our own credentials.

Two pieces of paperwork in Agro Care's own name — both renewed regularly, both verifiable through the issuing body.

  1. DLS — Department of Livestock Services, Bangladesh

    01 · Issued annually

    DLS Category 1 & 2 Licences

Bangladesh Department of Livestock Services — Licence No. 166 (Category 1) & No. 436 (Category 2)

The Department of Livestock Services issues product registrations and trade licences for veterinary medicines and supplements in Bangladesh. Agro Care holds licences in Category 1 (premix-form supplements, Licence No. 166) and Category 2 (specific therapeutic formulations, Licence No. 436).

Every Agro Care product carries its DLS registration number on the pack. The licence is renewed annually and is publicly verifiable through the DLS office in Dhaka.

  2. AHCAB — Animal Health Companies Association of Bangladesh

    02 · Member since 2021

    AHCAB Membership

Animal Health Companies Association of Bangladesh — Member No. 482

AHCAB is the industry association representing animal-health companies operating in Bangladesh. Membership requires manufacturing or distribution standards, a code of ethics, and transparent partner practices.

We've been an AHCAB member since 2021 and contribute to the association's advocacy on transparent labelling, partner-network standards, and farmer education.

Tier 2 · What we insist on from our import partners

We import only from certified manufacturers.

Most of our catalogue is imported from established Indian pharmaceutical brands. These three standards are non-negotiable for every brand we import from — we don't ship anything from a source that doesn't hold at least ISO 9001:2015 plus GMP.

  1. ISO 9001:2015

    ISO 9001:2015

Quality Management System — partner facilities

  2. GMP

    GMP

Good Manufacturing Practice — partner facilities

  3. WHO-aligned

    WHO-aligned

Good Laboratory Practice — partner QC labs

Every shipment we receive includes the partner's current ISO 9001 certificate and per-batch certificate of analysis. We file these documents against the batch number that appears on the pack.

The brands we import

Our global partners.

We're not anonymous about our supply chain. Below are the international pharmaceutical brands whose products we import and distribute in Bangladesh. Each one is certified to the standards listed above. They are distinct from our authorised partner network in Bangladesh — these are the brands behind the products; that network is where farmers buy them.

  1. Livohil Pharmaceuticals

    India

ISO 9001:2015 and GMP-certified pharmaceutical manufacturer in Ahmedabad. We import their pharmaceutical-grade vitamin and mineral premixes for the Bangladesh market.

  2. Palson Pharmaceuticals

Locally made in Bangladesh

Vita Feed Biscuit and Vita Feed Gold are different.

Our two flagship products are developed in collaboration with the Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) and manufactured locally in Bangladesh — not imported. They don't carry an ISO 9001 plant certification; they sit on the DLS licence and the CVASU research partnership instead. That partnership is the trust signal that matters for those two products.

Tier 3 · Published research

Our work with CVASU, in the literature.

The CVASU partnership isn't a press release. It's a multi-year research collaboration that has produced peer-reviewed work on ruminant nutrition. Below is the citation, available to read in full on the public record.

About our licences

Honest answers about what we hold and don't hold.

Buyers, vets, partners and inspectors ask the same questions. Here they are, answered straight.

  1. What licences does Agro Care hold itself?

Two. The Bangladesh Department of Livestock Services (DLS) issues us Category 1 (premix-form supplements, Licence No. 166) and Category 2 (specific therapeutic formulations, Licence No. 436) licences — both renewed annually. We are also a member of AHCAB (Member No. 482), the Animal Health Companies Association of Bangladesh. Those are the credentials that sit on our own paperwork.

  2. Are Agro Care products ISO 9001 or GMP certified?

Our own facility is not. We hold DLS + AHCAB; we don't claim ISO 9001 or GMP for ourselves and never have. What we do claim is that the imported products in our catalogue come from manufacturers that hold ISO 9001:2015 and GMP. That's the partner-side standard — and we don't ship from partners that don't have it.

  3. How do you know your import partners actually hold those standards?

Every shipment lands with a certificate of analysis and the manufacturer's current ISO 9001:2015 certificate. We file those documents per batch. For tenders, due diligence, or veterinary verification we'll share the partner certificate copies on request — email info@agrocarebd.com.

  4. What does DLS Category 1 and Category 2 actually cover?

The Bangladesh Department of Livestock Services classifies veterinary products by formulation type. Category 1 covers premix-form supplements (vitamins, minerals, Licence No. 166). Category 2 covers specific therapeutic formulations (Licence No. 436). Every Agro Care product carries its DLS registration number on the pack, and the licence is renewed annually — publicly verifiable through the DLS office.

  5. What is AHCAB and why are you a member?

AHCAB is the industry association representing animal-health companies operating in Bangladesh. Membership requires manufacturing or distribution standards, ethics, and transparent partner practices. We joined in 2021 and contribute to the association's advocacy on transparent labelling, partner-network standards, and farmer education.

  6. And Vita Feed Biscuit and Vita Feed Gold — those are made in Bangladesh, right?

Yes. The two Vita Feed products were developed in collaboration with the Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) and are manufactured locally in Bangladesh. They are not ISO 9001 / GMP certified at the plant level — that is true for some of our imported lines — but they are DLS-registered, CVASU-formulated, and pass internal QC at each batch.
